A bilateral meeting was held between Ahmad Ismayilov, Executive Director of Azerbaijan’s Media Development Agency (MEDIA), and Burhanettin Duran, Head of the Public Relations Department of the Turkish Presidential Administration, on the sidelines of the Turkic States Forum on Combating Disinformation, MEDIA told APA.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that the strategic partnership formed between Azerbaijan and Türkiye in the media sphere is being consistently and purposefully developed in the direction of combating disinformation. It was noted that the rapid spread of false and manipulative content in the modern information environment has a serious impact on public opinion and regional stability, which makes it necessary to strengthen coordinated, institutional, and sustainable cooperation among Turkic states. In this context, particular attention was drawn to the Türkiye–Azerbaijan Media Platform as an effective mechanism for joint activities, swift information exchange, and the formation of a unified position.
At the same time, it was stated that under conditions of intensified information flows, expanding the exchange of experience in the media field, deepening mutual dialogue, and promoting professional cooperation are of great importance. Confidence was expressed that discussions on existing challenges in the media and communication sphere, the identification of practical solutions, and the formation of joint approaches will be carried out even more intensively in the future.
