"According to modern diagnostic analyses, unregulated social media use at an early age can lead to various problems in the future," Ahmad Ismayilov, Executive Director of the Media Development Agency (MEDIA), said during a public discussion of a draft law proposing amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses, the Law "On Information, Informatization and Protection of Information," and the Law "On Protection of Children from Harmful Information," APA reports.

He stated that various legislative measures are being implemented in developed countries to restrict social media use that is considered harmful to children and has a negative impact on their physical and psychological health.

According to Ahmad Ismayilov, the draft laws prepared in the country cover several key aspects and aim to ensure that children operate more safely in the digital environment. "This draft law is of great importance in terms of protection from the existing problems of the digital world. It is noted that the proposed provisions comply with ethical standards and international legal norms."

He also noted that state bodies should pay serious attention to this issue during the preparation and implementation of the draft law: "Strengthening cooperation among the relevant state institutions in this area is also considered important."
