Aygun TV aired in Zagatala Region doesn’t fulfill NTRBC decision and continues to broadcast Turkish series of “Valley of Wolves: Ambush”, “One Thousands and One Nights”, APA Zagatala bureau reports.

Janub TV, airing in Lankaran Region from 20.00 to 01.00 every evening, also continues broadcasting of Turkish series like “The Istanbul Tale” and “valley of Wolves”. The channel covers audience of southern region and Mil-Mugan and Lowland areas as well. Mingachevir’s MTV is also airing the Turkish series – “The Deaf Room”, “Pusat” and “Northern Wind”, APA Lankaran bureau reports.

Two of three regional televisions in the western part of the country – Ganja-based Kepez TV and Tovuz-based Simurg TV observed the NTRBC decision and stopped broadcasting of the Turkish series. However Ganja-based Alternative TV showed the Turkish movies starring by Kemal Sunal in the past two days.

According to Aygun TV, the channel has today officially received the decision of the NTRBC and it will be obeyed as from today. The television also said that it would be expedient if NTRBC made some concessions to the regional channels:
“Regional TV channels have no material-technical opportunities to dub foreign films.”

Member of NTRBC Gafar Jabiyev told APA that the decision of the council concerned all TV channels in Azerbaijan, including regional TV channels. Gafar Jabiyev said NTRBC was aware of the violations of law by regional channels and serious discussions would be held in connection with this soon. Jabiyev said NTRBC had no opportunity to control the regional channels fully.
“It is impossible to monitor regional channels from Baku. We have sent some of our representatives to the regions so that they can monitor the regional televisions without their knowledge. Moreover, the Council appealed to some local bodies to determine the violations of law by the regional televisions,” he said.

Gafar Jabiyev added that NTRBC had appealed to the Cabinet to accelerate establishment of regional monitoring centers of the Council.
