Work schedule of international radiosâ€™ Azerbaijan bureaus was not changed after decision of NTRC

Work schedule of Liberty, Voice of America and BBC radio stationsâ€™ Azerbaijan bureaus was not changed after decision of National Television and Radio Council on conclusion of broadcasting international radios in national frequencies passed on December 30, Azerbaijani bureaus of above-mentioned radios told APA.
Khadija Ismayilova, head of Azerbaijan bureau of Liberty Radio told APA the radio was not broadcasted via FM but it was aired via internet and satellite. The radio is shortly broadcasted from 20.00 till 21.00. To her, consultations are conducted to expand broadcasting and use alternative ways at present.
â€œEU, as well as the US Government have appealed to Azerbaijan to reconsider the decision. New Year vacation has already concluded. We wait for reconsideration of the decision,â€ she said.
Azer Khalilov, head of Azerbaijani Bureau of BBC told APA that the radio did not change work schedule after decision of the Council. Khalilov said that BBC is shortly aired and it is broadcasted via internet.
Tapdig Farhadoglu, official of Azerbaijani bureau of Voice of America told APA that the radio is transmitted via short waves and net. There are not any changes in work schedule.
Europe+ radio station, which was stopped from January 1 after decision of the Council, declined to give information.
