Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev – APA. A group of Azerbaijani women parliamentarians – Malahat Ibrahimgizi (Hasanova), Gultakin Hajibayli and Lala Abbasova held a press conference on Azerbaijani TV channels’ attitude towards the national and moral values, APA reports. The parliamentarians said they had protested against the violation of national and moral values on Azerbaijani TV channels and would appeal to the public in connection with it. The appeal says that TV channels broadcast programs contradicting moral values, impeding patriotic upbringing of the youth and it contradicts Azerbaijan’s state policy.

The parliamentarians consider that TV channels should stop disrespect for national and moral values and the Azerbaijani language. They note that the other parliamentarians also support the appeal. It will be signed tomorrow and sent to the TV channels.

Women parliamentarians express their hope that the TV channels will regard their critical remarks as normal.
