European Broadcasting Union General Assembly to hold its 64th session in Baku

Baku–APA. The European Broadcasting Union General Assembly, united more than 70 leading TV companies of 56 countries accepted suggestion to hold its 64th session in Baku, public relations department of Public Television and Radio Broadcasting Company of Azerbaijan told APA. The decision was made by the Union’s Governing Board and general assembly. EBU members and relevant persons at the Geneva office were waiting edgily for visiting Baku in 2010, said EBU president Fritz Pleitgen in a letter he sent to the Director General of Public Television and Radio Broadcasting Company Ismayil Omarov. Pleitgen said he believed that Azerbaijan would host this event with great hospitability and this would be one of the memorable General Assemblies in EBU history. EBU president thanked the Public Television’s Director General for his suggestion and wished all his staff Happy New Year.
