TV channels to face with serious protection of Azerbaijani literary language next year

The National TV and Radio Broadcasting Council (NTRBC) will take serious measures to protect Azerbaijani literary language on TV channels next year, NTRBC Chairman Nushiravan Maharramli told APA. He said the Council tried to increase Azerbaijani-speaking programs and would take serious measures toward this. “Breaching of literary language norms and using of local dialects became a habit on Azerbaijani TV channels and next year TV programs, particularly their presenters will not use local dialects and Shaki, Gazakh, Nakhchivan dialects, as well as Anatolian Turkish will not be allowed on the channelsâ€.
