APA faces slander

The newspaper noted that APA quoted the Interior Ministryâ€™s press service. The article says that a brothel was found in Khanlar region and Amina Rahimova, correspondent of local bureau of Public Television is among the detained women.
APA states that it has not reported such news. The newspaper wanted the article to be persuasive and spread the news on behalf of the agency and Interior Ministry press service. â€œKriminal-alemâ€ newspaper is not the agencyâ€™s subscriber.
APA notes that none of the agencyâ€™s subscribers published such news, and the agency has never reported about brothel in Khanlar.
Amina Rahimova told the APA that the newspaper publishes this article for the second time with reference to the APA and distributed the newspaper in the region freely.
Director General of the agency Vusala Mahirgizi appealed to Interior Minister Ramil Usubov and Prosecutor General Zakir Garalov for holding editor-in-chief of the newspaper Ilgar Veliyev accountable for slandering the agency. The director general also appealed to Aflatun Amashov, chief of Press Council. /APA/
