Three years in jail was demanded for Eynulla Fetullayev with ground that he insulted Khojaly residents and Azerbaijani army in his article entitled “Agenda of Karabakh”.
Eynulla Fetullayev in his final statement noted that he expects this decision.
Break was announced in trial. After the break judge Ismayilov announced the verdict. The editor-in-chief was sentenced to 2 years and six months in jail. He was arrested in the court hall.
Before his imprisonment, Eynulla Fetullayev told the APA that he knew that he would be arrested. He said he will appeal to international organizations, media institutions. /APA/
