Nushiravan Maharramli: Indefiniteness in TV and radio broadcasting should be removed

He said that NTRC will clarify the situation within its authority. NTRCâ€™s chief said that it is not yet clear what decision will be made on ANS during debate and he added that indefiniteness in broadcasting such as this should be removed.
â€œIt should be shown in legislation that how many people participated in the tender, what decision NTRC should make. We appealed to Presidentâ€™s Office on the amendments in legislation four months ago. They sent us a letter and it says that they present the last version agreed with proper ministries to Azerbaijani Parliament. I regard that it is very serious issue, and indefiniteness in broadcasting field should be removedâ€, he said.
Tender on ANS TV frequency was announced two times, but no alternative application was received, except ANS. Issue on the development of television cable in the country was discussed at the meeting of NTRC today.
Maharramli said that the organization supports cable televisionâ€™s serve to Azerbaijani people in lower price and broadcasting everywhere. /APA/
