Currently, more than 22 thousand people are provided with housing in more than 19 restored settlements in the Khankendi, Aghdara, and Khojaly districts. More than 4 thousand of them are internally displaced persons, Elchin Yusubov, the representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for Khankendi, Aghdara, and Khojaly districts, said this during his speech at the "III Azerbaijan National Urban Planning Forum" held in Khankendi, APA-Economics correspondent dispatched to Khankendi reports.
He said that the most priority issue is ensuring employment: "Currently, private investors have invested 65 million manats in the region, which has served to create new jobs in the region. About 3,000 new jobs have been created. In order to ensure the employment of villagers in the area, an analysis of arable land was conducted and negotiations were held with the relevant agencies regarding its provision for the use of villagers. In the village of Ballija, arable land has already been distributed. Its use has begun. We are trying to ensure sustainable employment."
