More than 1,700 families have been relocated to new apartments in Karabakh, Farman Gurbanli, Chief of Staff at the State Housing Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (MIDA), said during his speech at the “3rd Azerbaijan National Urban Forum” held in Khankendi, APA-Economics reports.
He said that the housing projects being implemented in Karabakh are one of the main directions of the Great Return process.
“We have successfully completed three projects in the Karabakh region. More than 1,700 families have been relocated to new apartments in the Fuzuli, Jabrayil, and Khojavend districts,” he noted.
According to F. Gurbanli, within the framework of the projects, not only residential buildings but also social infrastructure have been created: “Construction of 22 social facilities has begun, 16 of which have already been put into operation – these include 5 schools, 9 kindergartens, and 2 medical institutions.”
He added that the Agency has implemented a total of 18 projects over the past 9 years, with 12,000 apartments fully commissioned in 8 of them. Currently, construction is ongoing for 4 projects, and design work is continuing for 3 projects.
