"Dagestan leadership will establish relations with the Caspian basin countries for development of the North-South Transport Corridor," head of the region Sergey Melikov said within the framework of the Eastern Economic Forum, APA-Economics reports citing Russian media.
According to him, a delegation from the region plans to visit Iran and Azerbaijan soon.
"Today, we consider all countries of the Caspian basin as a partner. We are working here consistently with those, who are closer to us, to understand the interest within the framework of development of the transport-logistical corridor," Sergey Melikov noted.
