A total of 28 state standards were reviewed in Azerbaijan in January-September 2026, Kamala Mammadzada, Acting Director General of the Azerbaijan Standardization Institute (AZSTAND), said during a media training session dedicated to World Standards Day, APA-Economics reports.
According to her, the main purpose of the reviews is to improve existing state standards, determine their relevance, and assess the effectiveness of their practical application.
Kamala Mammadzada noted that, alongside the review of regulatory documents in the field of standardization, work continues on the development and adoption of new state standards.
Thus, 620 new state standards were adopted in the first nine months of this year. More than 530 of them are reference standards.
According to Mammadzada, a total of 345 new state standards were adopted in 2025.
