Chemical production indicators in Azerbaijan announced - TABLE

In January-September of this year, Azerbaijan produced goods worth 1,721.4 million manats in the chemical industry, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and rubber and plastic products manufacturing sectors, APA-Economics reports, citing the monthly report of the State Statistical Committee.

According to the data, compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, pharmaceutical production increased by 60.4%, rubber and plastic products manufacturing rose by 8.5%, while chemical industry production decreased by 8%.

It is noted that during the reporting period, polyethylene production in the chemical industry declined by 23.3%, while ethylene production decreased by 23.8%. Among rubber and plastic products, production of other plates and sheets made of cellular plastics fell by 21.0%, production of sacks and bags made of polyethylene declined by 20.5%, and production of pipes, tubes, sleeves, and hoses made of rigid plastics decreased by 6.4%.
