Cargo transportation to the Araz Economic Zone Industrial Park has begun via the Horadiz-Aghband railway line, Javad Alovsatov, construction manager of the Construction Project Management Department of Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) Closed Joint Stock Company (CJSC), told journalists, APA-Economics correspondent dispatched to Zangilan district reports.
He said that construction and installation work is being carried out in 3 stages: "Most of the work has been completed in the first stage. Cargo transportation to the Araz Economic Zone Industrial Park is already underway via the railway line. Currently, earthworks and construction of engineering facilities are being carried out in stages 2 and 3. Since these areas through which the project passes have harsh mountainous and rocky terrain, drilling work is sometimes carried out in the form of blasting."
