Delegations from Azerbaijan, Iran, and Russia conducted a joint inspection of the South Cargo Terminal in Astara, Iran, APA’s correspondent dispatched to Iran reports.

The delegations are led by Azerbaijan’s Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev, Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk, and Iran’s Minister of Roads and Urban Development Farzaneh Sadegh.

The South Cargo Terminal in Astara, Iran, owned by Azerbaijan Railways, currently has an annual cargo handling capacity of 1 million tons, which is planned to be increased to 5 million tons. Construction work is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.
