Power outage causes damage to Baku Subway

Voltage drop on February 5, lots of electric equipments, 20 of which are gears, broke down. Subway incurred an extensive damage. This had some impact on the passenger traffic.
To the question whether Baku Subway will raise this issue vis-Ã -vis the government, E. Muradov replied: "The Government was also left without electricity today, so they are aware of the problem".
He noted that today was a challenging day for Subway workers. “With the lead of Tagi Ahmadov, the chief of Baku Subway, and other managerial officers all employees were involved in evacuation works. Fortunately nobody was injured, or panicked. Ministry of Emergency Situations and police closely took part in evacuationâ€.
Due to the disconnection in energy system, power supply to districts, Baku and Baku Subway halted.
