The dialogue and normalization process between Armenia and Türkiye has advanced sufficiently to allow a decision on opening the border at any moment, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said while speaking to journalists on the sidelines of the summit of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17) in Yerevan, News-Armenia reports.
"We could, for example, wake up on Monday or tomorrow and see that the Armenia-Türkiye border has been opened," the minister noted.
According to Mirzoyan, dialogue between the parties is quite intensive, and the normalization process has made significant progress. He stated that Armenia is ready to open the border for passenger and freight transportation.
The minister emphasized that a final decision on normalizing relations between the two countries could be made at any time.
