Baku – APA. The second exit of the Baku subway’s 28 May station was opened in the crossroad between Salatin Askerova Street and Azadliq Avenue on December 30. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the opening ceremony, APA reports.

The head of state cut a red ribbon symbolizing the official opening and looked at the stands, which are describing prospective development of the Baku subway lines.

The second exit of the station included modern architectural vestibule and underground passage. The main goal of the project is to separate the lines of Khatai-Azadliq Avenue and Icherisheher-Hazi Aslanov to organize free exploration of each of them.

The 167-meter underground passage is located in 40 meter of depth. There are three Russian-made escalators for the passengers.

Special exit turnstiles were installed in the passage to count passengers and to prevent entrance there.
