Residential building collapses in Icherisheher

Baku – APA. Employees of Icherisheher (Old City) State Historical-Architectural Reserve Office continuously conduct monitoring on the houses that are unfit for use at the Reserve. Icherisheher State Historical-Architectural Reserve Office under Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan told APA that the monitoring conducted through collaboration with the residents of such buildings allows to monitor the situation and take measures if necessary.

As a result of regular monitoring of buildings, large cracks were detected in the walls of the two-storey building in Ilyas Afandiyev 18.

Taking into account the dangerous situation, the residents had been immediately evacuated and provided with temporary housing. The walls of the building began to collapse and part of the building became useless tonight. As a result of the pre-arranged evacuation of residents by the Reserve Office they no one was injured.

Currently, measures are being taken to eliminate the problem.
