Nizami District Police Office told APA that after the collision both of cars started a fire.
"VAZ-2104", sate registration number 90-FP-014 collided with Hyundai, registration number 10-XO-058.
Nizami district fire service officers were involved to the scene, the fire which began in the cars after the accident was extinguished.
According to the report, the accident suffered 3 people. One of them is a police colonel Hasanov Elshan Agahuseyn oglu. He holds the position of Chief of Control and Coordination Unit of the Main Organization and Supervision of the Interior Ministry of Azerbaijan.
The other wounded men - 24-year-old Aliyev Taleh Hasanaga oglu and Khalilov Farid Rasim oglu, born in 1987.
After the accident, traffic on the avenue of Heydar Aliyev at a time locked.
