On Tuesday, Elnur Ramazanli, a resident of Baku, informed police that his 8-year-old son, Huseyn, had left home Monday and not returned, the Interior Ministry told APA.
The father received repeated calls from a person who introduced himself as an IS member, who demanded 30,000 manats for the child’s release and threatened to sell his organs if the father calls police.
In a series of search operations, the police detained the kidnapper, Absheron district resident Elnur Mammadov.
The child, found helpless in an unfinished two-storey house with his hands, feet, and eyes tied, was handed over to his parents.
A criminal case has been opened. The fact is under investigation.
