After being released from prison, Sputnik Azerbaijan’s editor-in-chief Yevgeny Belousov flew from Baku to Moscow, said Russian Foreign Ministry’s official representative Maria Zakharova, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
Note that as a result of operational-search measures carried out by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) at the Baku branch of the “Rossiya Segodnya” Information Agency (“Sputnik Azerbaijan”), a decision was made on October 24 at the Khatai District Court regarding the editor-in-chief of the Baku branch of the “Rossiya Segodnya” Information Agency (“Sputnik Azerbaijan”), Yevgeny Belousov. A preventive measure of 3 months of house arrest was imposed on Belousov.
Recall that shortly before, Igor Kartavikh, the executive director of “Sputnik Azerbaijan” who was in custody in Baku, was also released and sent to Russia.
