129 citizens of Azerbaijan are being held in prisons in Georgia, APA’s local bureau, reports, citing the September report of the National Statistics Office of Georgia.
The number has increased by 10 people compared to the previous month.
According to the report, among the Azerbaijani citizens, 41 are accused persons and 88 are convicted. Of the accused, 38 are men and 3 are women, while among the convicted, 74 are men and 14 are women.
The number of Azerbaijani citizens under probation supervision in Georgia is 56. Compared to the previous month, this number has decreased by one person. Among them, 48 are men, 7 are women, and 1 is a teenage boy.
In total, 1,404 foreign nationals and stateless persons are serving prison sentences in Georgia, while 602 foreign citizens are under probation supervision.
