The Ministry's press service told APA that on May 2, the citizen of Germany Schilder Vusal Adolf, 21, was knifed in Narimanov district of Baku and died on the way to hospital. Prosecuting authorities and law enforcers carried out investigation and detained resident of Shabran region, twice-convicted Elman Isgandarov and resident of Aghdash region Rufat Zakirov.
"Initial investigation has found out that Vusal Schilder got acquainted with an Azerbaijani girl and wanted to marry her. Later, both the girl and her parents objected to the continuation of the relations. Vusal Schilder threatened to post various photos of the girl and fell victim to this blackmail. As regards some media reports naming Tariyel Agayev, there is no information proving his participation in, or link to this crime.
The investigation is being continued by the prosecuting authorities.
