Foreign nationals who attempted to violate the state border have been detained, APA reports, citing the Press Center of the State Border Service.
It was noted that measures to ensure the reliable protection of the state border and to combat illegal migration are being successfully continued. In the service area of the “Sheki” border detachment of the Border Troops of the State Border Service, two citizens of the Kingdom of Morocco — Mohammed Fassih and Ousama Ben Moulay — who attempted to cross the state border from the Republic of Azerbaijan towards the Russian Federation, were detained, in the service area of the “Shamkir” border detachment, three citizens of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan — Ali Syed Farman, Amir Muhammad Shantazgul, and Shah Syed Norman — who attempted to cross towards Georgia, were detained, as a result of operational and military measures.
Operational-investigative measures on the facts are ongoing.
