Azerbaijani court sentenced Kamran Babayev to 6 years for anti-state and terrorism-related charges

The final court hearing was held in the criminal case initiated by the State Security Service (SSS) against Kamran Babayev, a member of an extremist group accused of making public calls against the state and to terrorism, APA reports.

APA xəbər verir ki, Sumqayıt Ağır Cinayətlər Məhkəməsində hakim Aynur Rzayevanın sədrliyi ilə keçirilən prosesdə hökm oxunub.
Hökmə əsasən, Kamran Babayevə 6 il müddətinə azadlıqdan məhrumetmə cəzası verilib.

The verdict was announced at the trial presided over by Judge Aynur Rzayeva at the Sumgayit Court on Grave Crimes. According to the verdict, Kamran Babayev was sentenced to 6 years of imprisonment.

Note that Kamran Babayev was detained as a result of investigative and operational measures carried out by the State Security Service. He was charged under Articles 281.2 (public calls directed against the state, if committed by a group of persons) and 214-2 (public calls to terrorism) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
