Measures to ensure reliable protection of the state border and combat the illegal trafficking of narcotics, psychotropic substances and their precursors are being successfully continued.
As a result of border search and operational measures carried out in the service area of the "Lankaran" border detachment of the Border Troops Command of the State Border Service, a large amount of narcotics was prevented from being transported to the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan from the Islamic Republic of Iran.
As a result of search measures, a total weight of 35 kilograms of marijuana was discovered and seized from the border area.
Operational and investigative measures on the fact are continuing.
