Azerbaijan detains 21 foreigners for illegal migration-VIDEO

Azerbaijan's police has detained 21 people with meausers conducted against illegal migration, APA reports citing Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan.

Employees of office for combating illegal migration of Main Passport, Registration & Migration Department of Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted measures at different addresses in Baku against foreigners who do not possess documents giving them the right to live in the territory of Azerbaijan.

As a result of measures taken, 21 persons who were citizens of various countries were detained for violating the mentioned law.

During the investigation, it was revealed that those foreign citizens were defrauded with the promise of them to be provided with illegal passage to European countries, especially to Poland, by allegedly using Azerbaijan as a transit. According to the relevant article of the Code of Administrative Offenses, a protocol has been drawn up about them.

Investigation on E.Jamalov, who is suspected of defrauding citizens of foreign countries, are continued.

It was noted that 102 foreign citizens who do not possess documents giving them the right to live in the territory of the country were identified by the police officers with the meausers taken from the early 2024, and relevant measures were taken against them.
