The Azerbaijan Airlines aircraft dispatched from Baku to transport the passengers of flight J2-020 (Saint Petersburg–Baku) has arrived in the capital of Azerbaijan, AZAL told APA.
The aircraft landed safely at Heydar Aliyev International Airport at 14:24 Baku time.

In order to ensure flight safety, the captain of the Airbus A320 aircraft of Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) while performing flight J2-020 on the St. Petersburg-Baku route decided to return to Pulkovo Airport due to a technical problem (landing gear failure, APA reports citing Azerbaijan Airlines.
In accordance with all safety procedures, the crew took the necessary measures by consuming a certain part of the fuel before landing.
In accordance with the rules established for the destination, emergency and rescue services at St. Petersburg airport were put on high alert.
The plane successfully landed at Pulkovo airport at 04:43 Baku time. During landing, the aircraft slightly deviated from the runway.
155 passengers on board were evacuated promptly. There were no injuries.
Another AZAL plane has already been sent to transport passengers from St. Petersburg to Baku.

An Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) plane returned to Pulkovo Airport due to technical reasons during a flight from St. Petersburg to Baku, APA reports that the press service of Pulkovo Airport informed TASS.
