Azerbaijan participates in IMO London session

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov â€“ APA-Economics. The delegation led by head of Azerbaijan State Maritime Administration (ASMA) Gudrat Gurbanov has attended the 90th session of Maritime Safety Committee of International Maritime Organization in London, ASMA Press service told APA.

Different international organizations and 168 member-states participated in the session and measures for increase of safety in the maritime, determination of new standards for construction of new ships, issues on Remote Recognition and Control System, application of international convention on Training of sailors, giving them a diploma and etc. were discussed at the session.

Besides, there was spoken about measures for prevention of maritime piracy.

ASMAâ€™s report on appropriation of Azerbaijanâ€™s diplomas given to sailors to International Convention and same reports of Great Britain, USA, Canada and Israel were submitted to discussion of the session. Member-states appreciated the report
