Ministry of National Security discloses persons who damaged interests of Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies

Baku â€“ APA. The Ministry of National Security disclosed a group of persons, who damaged the interests of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies by unlicensed and unregistered illegal entrepreneurship. Citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan Fuad Zeynalov, Bazay Vahabov, Abbas Hajiyev, Shahin Farhadov, Ikhtiyar Agayev and Ilham Mammadov used special technical devices to join the one-way communication line of the Azerfon mobile operator network, created unlicensed communication service and were involved in crime to earn illegal money. They purchased imported GSM channel allotters and other equipments and installed it in different apartments in Baku, Sumgayit and Khirdalan. They also got 51 GSM mobile phone numbers registered by different people, entered these numbers to special devices to get Internet access and illegally joined the network of international phone conversations not registered in the automatic phone station of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies. Those equipments were found in working order and joined the network during the search. It was identified that the illegal group caused AZN 100 000 damages on the Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies.

The Ministry of National Security prevented another criminal action committed by same method. Citizen of China Lin Vei and others used special technical devices to join the one-way communication line of the Bakcell mobile operator network, created unlicensed communication service and were involved in crime to earn illegal money. Lin Vei and others purchased GSM channel allotters and other equipments and installed it in different apartments in Nasimi and Khatai districts of Baku and in Gandja. They also got 69 GSM mobile phone numbers, entered these numbers to special devices to get Internet access and illegally joined the network of international phone conversations during a month causing huge damages on the Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies. The security officials identified those equipments in working order during the search and also found a lot of Azerfon and Bakcell payment cards.

The Ministry of national Security prevented not only the illegal entrepreneurship, but also possible use of these unlicensed communication networks for other transnational organized crimes.

The criminal investigation was launched under the article 192.2.2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan (illegal entrepreneurship for gaining large amount of incomes). The investigation is underway.
