Traffic restricted in some avenues and streets of Baku due Eurovision 2012 Song Contest

Department chief of the road police office Kamran Aliyev told APA that the entrance for cars on 14th km of Baku-Salyan highway in direction of Bayil will be banned. The cars will enter the city using the aside road. The traffic from 20th field toward Bayil will be restricted and the cars will be directed toward Badamdar settlement.

In the days of the contest, the traffic will be restricted from the crossroad of Bulbul and Azadlig avenues with Nizami street toward Neftchilar avenue, from the crossroad of Istiglaliyyet and Azerbaijan avenues toward Aziz Aliyev street, from Yusif Vezirov street to 28 May street, from the crossroad of Afiyeddin Jalilov street to Uzeyir Hajibeyov street and the direction of traffic will be changed.

Kamran Aliyev asked the drivers not to use personal cars in the above-mentioned streets and avenues in the Eurovision days.

Department chief of the Baku city’s road police office Vagif Asadov told APA that the traffic will also be restricted from the crossroad of Sheykh Shamil and Istiglaliyyet streets toward Azerbaijan street, Gosha Gala gate – from the Youth Square toward “5 mertebe” circle, from the crossroads of Parliament avenue – Mehdi Huseyn streets, Parliament avenue – Musfig street, Narimanov avenue – Mushfig street, from Heydar Aliyev Center toward Tabriz street.

The Eurovision 2012 viewers will use shuttle buses parked near Samad Vurgun park, Azadlig square, Azneft square, Dalga Plaza and Neftchilar avenue – the Museum Center to reach destination.
