The rise of weather temperature causes snow melting and increases avalanche threat, chairman of the north-west regional center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Azad Zeynalov told APA.

On March 30, residents of Vandam, Elvin Mukhtar oglu Karimov Elvin, born in 1991, Nazir Bayramov Tahiroglu, born in 1990 and Mamedov Zakir Gazanfaroglu, born in 1991, left home early morning at about 6.00 and went on hunting in the mountainous area "Goch Yaylagi." Since then, they have not been seen again. On April 4 parents informed the local authorities that their children became missing. Only one of them had a hunting rifle.

"Goch Yaylagi" is located 25 kilometers from the village Vandam at 2,500 meters above sea level. At this time snow cover thickness in the area is 1 meter. The avalanche created the snow cover with 8-m depth in the 450-m area. The avalanches frequently hit this area.
