APA reports that the inspections are being carried out due to expiration of 5-year term of office of Baku city Prosecutor Aziz Seyidov. General Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the last 5-year activity of the Baku City Prosecutor and the inspections will be finished in the next days. Then the issue whether the prosecutor will keep on the office or not will be solved.
According to the legislation of Azerbaijan, regional and city prosecutors are appointed to this position for 5 year by the order of General Prosecutor.
Term of office of Baku city Prosecutor Aziz Seyidov will expire on April 20.
