Organized criminal gang consisting of Azerbaijanis detained in Russia

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov â€“ APA. The officers of the Russian Federal Security Service detained active members of the criminal gang consisting of Russian and Azerbaijani citizens selling drugs in the country, APA reports quoting the website of the Federal Security Service.

In spring special service agencies received reports about the actions of the criminal gang consisting of Russian and Azerbaijani citizens in Moscow and in the vicinities of Moscow. Leaders and active members of the gang were detained as a result of the operations carried out late in July.

540 kg drugs were seized from the criminal gang. Federal Security Service has launched criminal proceedings on the fact on article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of Russia. The detainees will be sentenced from 4 up to 8 years in prison.
