He said that they are waiting for Afghanistan’s reply for bringing the remains of the bodies to Azerbaijan.
“The plane that will be sent to bring the bodies is ready. As soon as the consent is given the plane will leave to bring the remains of the bodies. The bodies will undergo forensic medical examination,” he said.

The third secretary of Azerbaijani embassy in Pakistan and Afghanistan Chingiz Garibli told APA that the paperwork concerning the bodies of the crew members has been completed and they will be sent to Baku within a day. According to him, the remains of the bodies were found as a result of the operations carried out by the Interior Ministry of Afghanistan at the end of the week.
“Of course, it is difficult to find all the bodies at the crash site. The remains of the bodies, which have been found, will be sent to Baku and undergo special examination, basing on it, it will be known to whom the remains belong,” he said.

Diplomat said the remains of the bodies are in Daud Khan Hospital in the capital of Afghanistan.
“The remains will be brought to Baku by the plane owned by Silk Way aviation company. After identification, the bodies will be handed over to the relatives,” he said.

Garibli said the Azerbaijani side sent a note to the Afghan government asking to help in the delivery and paperwork of the remains.
“The Afghan side made a positive reply to this note and did its best,” he said.

On July 6, 2011, at about 00.10, while preparing to land in Bagram airport, the communication with IL-76 4K-AZ 55 belonging to Azerbaijan’s Silk Way aviation company suddenly broke off and its view disappeared in radars. According to statement made by Azerbaijan State Civil Aviation Administration, the aircraft collided with unknown object in the air. Earlier, a representative of the movement "Taliban" Zabibulla Modzhahid told Afghan media that Azerbaijani plane was shot down by Taliban.

The plane implementing the flight on Baku-Bagram route with 18 tons of cargo took off from Heydar Aliyev International Airport at 21.26 (local time of Baku), on July 5, 2011. Before this flight the plane flied on Kuwait-Baku route and no disorder was recorded during this flight.

İl-76 4K-AZ 55 aircraft was produced in 2005 and last time it passed tech inspection in February of 2011 and next time in June. All 9 members of crew team have been dead. 5 of them are the citizens of Azerbaijan, 4 – Uzbekistan.
