95 organized criminal gangs uniting 308 people, who committed 233 grave crimes, rendered harmless in Azerbaijan this year

Vilayat Eyvazov said 48.4% (1042 out of 2151) of the wanted were detained, the whereabouts of 68 were determined by the National Central Bureau of Interpol. 95 organized criminal gangs uniting 308 people, who committed 233 grave crimes, were rendered harmless, 102 were brought to justice for carrying illegal firearms.

4382 counterfeit national and foreign banknotes, over 6000 banned medicines, 185 kg quicksilver and 600 counterfeit teaching aids were removed from illegal turnover.

â€œAs a result of the measures against drug trafficking, over 366 kg drugs were removed from illicit turnover, 22 criminal gangs consisting of 57 persons, 214 tones of narcotic plants were burned,â€ he said.
