Judicial case on criminal case of Azerbaijani Islamic Partyâ€™s chairman and others scheduled to August 4

APA reports that the preparatory meeting was led by judge Eldar Ismayilov. After returning from the counsel, the considered petitions and passed decision not to consider the petition in connection with the invitation of additional witnesses to the process, the control of the Islamic Partyâ€™s headquarters in Bakuâ€™s Narimanov district. The other petitions proposed during the first part of the process were rejected by the court.

The court appointed the judicial examination to August 4.

The accused persons were detained on January 7.
Later they faced charges under articles 28, 214.2.1 (preparation for terrorist attack by a group of persons, organized gang), 28, 214.2.3 (preparation for terrorist attack using firearms), 228.3 (Illegal purchase, transfer, selling, storage, transportation or carrying of fire-arms, accessories to it, supplies (except for the smooth-bore hunting weapon and ammunition to it), explosives), 278 (violent capture power or violent deduction power) of the Criminal Code.
