Deputy Minister said the work continued on the project on digging new branch.
“Extra inspections are being held in all fields. 90 percent of the work has been done. The dams are being reinforced and extra work is being done to prevent damage to the people and areas in Gulubayli village. This delays the digging of the branch,” he said.

Orujali Hajiyev said the new branch would make it available to leak 300-500 cu m water, in future more water would be leaked.

Deputy Minister said the dams around the Sarisu Lake had been damaged much, the water level in the lake had fallen by 40 cm.
“We are waiting for the water level to fall so that we can restore the territory between the Kur and Sarisu. This may take time,” he said.

Commenting on the media reports that Sabirabad region center would move, Orujali Hajiyev said it was groundless. He said 3 villages of Imishli, 4 villages of Saatli had been moved. The rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations saved 33 people. Totally, 200 people were rescued.
