“Doctor has recently visited him. The doctor said Vugar must immediately be treated in hospital. The prosecuting authorities have not answered our appeal about it,†he said.
The UK citizen of Azerbaijani origin, former employee of BBC radio Vugar Khalilov was accused of money laundering and arrested on April 12.
His lawyer Artyom Ivanov considers the accusations absurd.
“He obtained loan from the bank to launch his business and spent the money to buy equipment and give the employees’ salaries,†he said.
Though Vugar Khalilov has health problems, no one is allowed to see him.
