Three rescued in flooded areas in Azerbaijan’s Sabirabad region

Baku. Hafiz Haydarov - APA. Three persons were rescued in the flooded areas in Sabirabad region, APA reports quoting the official website of Ministry of Emergency Situations.

It was noted in the information that, 3 residents of Muradbayli village of Sabirabad region were rescued by the diver rescuers of Emergency Ministry.

Note that, critical situation occurred in the direction of Minbashi village of Sabirabad region due to water level raising in the Kura river. There is a danger of Kura cleavage in direction of the village. According to information, if dam is cleaved, then 17 houses may be flooded.

The level of water in Kura has raised in all villages of Sabirabad. Technique and forces have been involved in all directions for prevention the flood.

Moreover, Ministry of Emergency Situations spread information on catastrophic condition in the coast guard dam of Kura river in Nakhalig village of Sabirabad region. Reinforcement works were carried out by the forces and techniques of Emergency Ministry and other related bodies. Reconstruction works are underway at that dam.
