Azerbaijan to establish Next-Generation Technologies Center

A “Next-Generation Technologies Center” will be established in Azerbaijan, APA-Economics reports.

This initiative is reflected in the “Strategy for the Development of the Digital Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026–2029.”

The strategy also envisions the formation of support mechanisms related to the adoption of new technologies.

According to the document, proposals for the establishment of the Center will be prepared, and at least 25 enterprises will be involved in training in the relevant field. The number of enterprises benefiting each year from digital transformation services provided by the Center is expected to increase, along with steady improvements in the number and competitiveness of enterprises undergoing digital transformation.

The purpose of the Center is to support the optimization of business processes through the application of modern technologies and to provide training and consultancy services based on a “learn and transform” model. Drawing on the experience of Türkiye’s MEXT Digital Skills Center and Singapore’s Digital Capability Center, productivity gains of 15–30 percent at the workforce level and 10–30 percent at the sector level are anticipated.
