PACE President pays official visit to Azerbaijan

According to APA, First Vice-Speaker of Azerbaijani Parliament Ziyafet Askerov and Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Milli Majlis, head of the Azerbaijani delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Seyidov met the guest at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport.

Note that Jean-Claude Mignon will meet Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Speaker of Azerbaijani Parliament Ogtay Asadov, and Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov, leaders of the political parties represented in the Parliament and members of International and Interparliamentary Relations Committee of Azerbaijani Parliament during his visit.

PACE President will also meet with representatives of NGOs.

Issues on cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Council of Europe will be discussed at the meetings.

The visit will end on May 28.
