Opening ceremony of Vagif Poetry Days held in Shusha

The official opening ceremony of the Vagif Poetry Days, jointly organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Ministry of Culture, was held in Shusha today, APA reports.

Speaking at the ceremony held in front of the Molla Panah Vagif Museum-Mausoleum Complex, TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev said that the Vagif Poetry Days strengthen cultural ties among the Turkic states.

The winners of the Young Poets Festival of the Turkic World were then presented with awards.

As part of the program, a composition entitled "Hunter of the Word – My Heart Passes Through Karabakh," dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of People's Poet Samad Vurgun, was presented. A stage composition based on the drama "Vagif" was warmly received by the audience.
