The 26th Annual Session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly opened in the Belarus capital, Minsk, on July 6.
The Session, the theme of which is “Enhancing mutual trust and co-operation for peace and prosperity in the OSCE region,” began with a meeting of the Standing Committee where draft resolutions were discussed and put to the vote. Of the 15 submitted draft resolutions, 14 were included in the Session’s agenda.
The draft resolution “Multiculturalism - the role of cultural values ​​in the development of democracy in the context of globalization” submitted by Azerbaijani MP Tahir Mirkishili was also included in the Session’s agenda.
The document is aimed at developing and preserving various cultural values, contributing to democratic development in the OSCE region and spreading the Azerbaijani traditions of multiculturalism worldwide.
