Baku – APA. Rector of Moscow State Institute of International Relations Anatoly Torkvunov read the message of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the participants of the first international forum of Moscow State Institute of International Relations Alumni in Baku. In his message, the Russian President said that the generation of successful diplomats graduated from Moscow State Institute of International Relations: “I’m sure that initiatives such as this forum enrich the palette of the relations between our countries”.
Following this, Anatoly Torkunov spoke about the history and current activity of the university that will mark its 70th anniversary next year.
Chairman of “Rossotrudnichestvo”, Russian President’s Special Envoy for CIS affairs Konstantin Kosachev read the message of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. In his message, the Foreign Minister expressed his regret that his busy schedule did not allow him participating in this forum: “I’m sure that traditional hospitality of Azerbaijan will make the forum bright and memorable holiday. I hope this forum will become a tradition”.
Sergei Lavrov invited all the participants to attend the 70th anniversary of Moscow State Institute of International Relations next year.
