Baku. Shamil Alibeyli – APA. “Trans-Caspian gas pipeline we believe can go forward whether or not there is a boundary agreement between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan,” said U.S. Ambassador to Azerbaijan Richard Morningstar, APA reports.

He said that boundary issue has not been resolved in 15-20 years: “We certainly would be happy to see Trans-Caspian gas pipeline but ultimately there has to be an agreement between EU Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan. It is up to Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan to decide whether they can reach an agreement with the EU, as to moving forward. Hopefully at some point it will be resolved.”

The Ambassador said that the environmental issues should be looked at as it will be within the any project.
