Baku – APA. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has sent a letter of condolences to the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland David Cameroon on the death of Margaret Thatcher, APA reports.
The letter says: “Honorable Mr. Prime Minister. I was deeply saddened to hear the news of death of the ex-Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, well-known political figure and stateswoman Margaret Thatcher. One of the bright figures of the 20th century Margaret Thatcher has left indelible trace in the history of the UK as the leader of the Conservative Party and Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Margaret Thatcher contributed to forming and improving relations, developing friendship and cooperation between the United Kingdom and Azerbaijan. On behalf of the Azerbaijani people and on my own, I extend my deepest condolences to you, Margaret Thatcher's family and all people of the UK”.
